The circles may read as berries or offerings—something the birds and insects feed on, from which the flowers grow. The flowers in turn support the birds and insects, creating a shared balance of giving and sustaining. Below, the moon watches over the scene with flowered eyes, holding the rhythm of growth, decay, and renewal. Printed from the original carved block, the piece carries the organic texture of the hand-printing process.
